1. How do I change my email address or password?

   You can change your email address on the "edit your profile" page. Here you can change some other information including search preferences, address and other preferences about your daily routines, habits, hobbies etc.

   After you've made your changes, click "Save" at the bottom of the page to save.

2. Should I include accurate personal information in my profile?

   Of course, you should include accurate personal information - your age, your religion, your children, etc. But do not include your exact address or your real last name anywhere in your public profile. You should only share this information on a one-on-one personal basis once you have established trust with someone.

3. Do people actually meet on your site? Do they ever get married?

Thousands of people meet daily on internet websites like this one. We are a brand new site (brand new in 2009) and as of yet don't have such a long history.  We have had a few people who have already told us about meeting on the site, however most have asked to keep their stories private.

4. When someone sends me a message, where does the message go and how do I respond?

   When a member sends you a note, it usually goes straight into your onsite message Inbox. We then send an email to your personal email address to let you know that it's there.  Our system does sometimes delay and monitor messages for "free" level members to remove personal contact information.  Only upgraded (paid) members are allowed to send contact information through the system, and their messages are never delayed.

   To read your messages, simply login to the site and go to your Inbox. If you decide to write back, simply click "reply", write your own note and send away. Your note will go straight into the member's onsite Inbox, and we'll let them know it's there with an email to their personal email address.

   All communications with other members stay onsite so that you never have to give out any personal information until you feel completely ready. Then when you are, one or the other person can upgrade to exchange contact details.

5. How do I edit my profile? How do I hide my profile?

To update your profile, click "Edit Profile" in Members Panel menu. Be sure to save your changes at the bottom of the screen when you're done.

Try to put your best foot forward with at least one photo and snappy, detailed essays about your interests. The photo is key since most people feel more comfortable writing to members they can see. Try to stay positive in your essays and let the real you shine.

To hide your profile, select "No" for the option "Other members can see when I'm online?" on the "Edit Profile" page . Keep in mind, however, that members who are most active on the site keep their profile visible in all places because it increases their chances of connecting with people. And you never know, someone special may be looking for you and never get to find you if your profile is hidden.

6. How does "My Matches" work?

   My Matches works according to the basic profile and "search preferences" at the bottom of the "edit profile" page.

7. How much does membership cost?

Our silver Membership costs $24.99 for 30 days.  Our gold membership costs $49.99 and is good for 90 days.  We also have a $19.99 bronze level membership for only 7 days and diamond for 6 months costing $79.99.

8. How do I sign up?

In the top part of the page, click "Register Now" to get started.

9. Can I send email addresses or phone numbers through the system?

Free level membership entitles you to send personal messages to other members, but it does not entitle you to send personal contact information like email or phone numbers. Either you or your chatmate must upgrade your account, in order for you to send contact information through the system.

10. How do you prevent free level users from sending personal information through the system?

Our system automatically monitors messages for phrases that appear to be personal information. Any suspicious messages are reviewed by a site administrator, and if the messages contain personal information they are returned to the sender. We encourage our members who are serious to upgrade their membership. The messages from and to upgraded members are immediately sent without the delay of our filtering system.

11. There's something that's not working on the site. What do I do?

Occasionally there are some problems on the site with specific browsers (for instance at one time internet explorer version 6 was not displaying our signup form properly). Please let us know as soon as possible with the Feedback Form. Include as much information as possible (for instance, your location, your browser name and version if you know it - and when you first noticed the problem).  Every page of the site also has a link near the bottom to report a problem.  If you notice anything, please report it so we can fix it.

12. When will you contact me through email? How can I ensure the email is not marked as spam?
    

    We send email to members when they receive personal messages from other users on the site, or are added to a buddy list, as well as "my matches" emails - but only if you set these options in our system.  To set your preferences to receive email notifications, please log in to your account and go to the page "My Settings" page to set your preferences

    In order to insure that emails are delivered to your inbox rather than your bulk/spam please do the following:

    • do not mark our messages as spam when they appear in your inbox
    • add our email addresses to your address book:
      • infochristian-filipina.com,
      • paymentschristian-filipina.com
      • notificationschristian-filipina.com
      • adminchristian-filipina.com
    • if you do find one of our messages in your spam box, please mark it as "not spam" so that your email program will learn to put it into your inbox.
    • if your email provider (yahoo, hotmail, etc) continues to have problems delivering the email to your box, please contact your email provider directly and inform them about the problem.
13. I love your site. How can I help?

    Since we are just a new site this year, we'd very much appreciating your help spreading the word about our site.  Here are some ideas how to help:

    • Click on the "Invite A Friend" link to send an email to your friends about the site.
    • Do you use twitter.com? If you like our site, send a tweet to let people know about Christian Filipina.
    • Do you use delicious, facebook, or digg, or any other social bookmarking service? Maybe friendster or myspace?  Just share the link http://christian-filipina.com so your friends can find the site.
    • Don't forget to add Christian Filipina to your Bookmarks / Favorites menu. You can even set it as your home page!
